BRIDGE 4

Here is  a composition that took very much time to work through.
I had a very difficult time with the sound levels and compression; there may be other mixes to come.
The biggest problem is that I am using a specific pair of headphones and, I am not paying enough attention to other outputs.

This is quite the 'all nighter', I still have a headache when I think about the amount of signal processing that went into this project.
There will be a mainstay of multi-tracking in the future.

I don't care if you're far or near."
I like that.

A Nighttime Bridge Song

Since early 2012, I have been attempting to develop some type of composition that would present my perspective of the world that exists before me as I am a part of it.
I often spend much of my time snapping photographs and video clips as I am busy outside.
Walking many miles is superb; I actually have oxygen in my brain, I can think a thought through to an extent.
As I have noticed, my compositions could benefit if I had greater throughput. Hopefully in time, there will be more.

These videos are the recently observed mile markers along the roadway of life; I tried to lay it out in a song.
The theme is reoccurring as does the reality of each passage.

Broken World

In the ordinary progression,
I recorded a few songs over the last month or so.

This was the fun project.
I applied the instrumental tracks more so toward a documentary as compared to a 'rock song'.
I wanted to use some of the audio tracks for other projects but,
at the last hour, I started to throw everything in here.
I just wanted to 'make it go'.

 Theirs not much to say,
all of this material has been online for a few weeks.

Christ Man

I really like the song,
I have a good 'got off the ground' feeling about this recording.
This is my 'type' of music but, I know other songs!!

-Christ Man tell me what you believe.-
-Christ Man tell me what you perceive.-
-Christ Man tell me what you will weave.-
-Christ Man tell me why you tell me I have to leave.-

Where does the time go to?
Sometimes, I am impressed with historical recollection of the church.
Since this is the seventieth anniversary of the founding of the church,
I composed a piece that I can live with.
I think it is the one of the best recordings that I ever produced.
I must say, my musical compositional preferences are
Native American; it is in the bloodline.

Native American; it is in the bloodline.

If I Knew I Was Correct, Would You Say I Was Wrong?

I finally came up with material that I enjoy although, I had to sing on two of the videos.
I really like the involved drawn out compositions that are of epic proportions for me; everyone else would probably change the radio station, URL or, whatever.

I really like the way this composition came out.
The ending in as intense as I ever conceptualized it.
Perhaps, it is justifiably vivid in reflection of the destruction of Onaquaga.

Onaquaga, An Iroquois camp destroyed in 1778 was nearby.

Yeah.............
After I uploaded the song, I realized that I did not make it clear that this is a song about a woman.
The truck has to be returned for another driver.
This song really doesn't do too much for any actual circumstances but,
I do like the ending.

More music, sooner not later.

Trying To Work It Through

The collection of videos here represent a generally unusual yield of  music,
The results are varied.

OK, this isn't the song of songs to share with others.
I put this together to be as bad as bad can be.
It is really bad; this is the
most abhorrent and awful taste ever expressed in my work.
Excuse: It was a Friday,
I didn't have anything going,
I felt compelled to either grin and bear it or, channel it through here.

A New Album Theme Was Needed

Realizing that a new album theme was needed, I scribbled off a few thoughts and composed one song of what will eventually be part of a much larger collection.

That Distance

It seems that I really do try to make the most of everything that I work with; although, it is not always welcome.
Regardless of how some others feel/believe, I do enjoy these projects and other constructive endeavors.
A composition such as 'Any Distance Is Greater' can easily take five hours to simply sit down and play a few passages on a musical instrument. As much as possible is recorded onto the hard drive and it is then played back and attributes are added to the desired tracks.
I generally will separate the left and right tracks and change the synchronization timing by a few milliseconds; that is how the wide 'stereo' effect is achieved, I will sometimes chance the pitch to the guitar tracks as well.

This actually turned out much better than almost all of my previous work.
I do like the distortion of the guitar that is overlayed, it reminds me of
Ten Years After, the live album Undead in 1968.

I have so many other projects that require my time and yet,
I see some promise in screeching out these tracks.
It is nice to be able to post content that is entirely composed by myself.

'I Call It Here'
MPK 2012-05-17

Well.....I got a kick out of the guitar work in this piece.
I won't feel too bad if it is compared to a cat screeching in the night.

The Lesser Threshold

This was not an easy audio project and, the results were not as good as I had wanted.
After uploading the final mix, I realized that it sounded terrible.
I have been asking myself 'How much compression should I use on Facebook and VK?'
Although I am not entirely certain at this time, I am leaning toward no compression if the overall mix is exactly as you want to hear it.
If you have background vocals, subtle passages, etc......, compression will increase in priority for the upload.
I will continue to experiment with different settings and of course, style.

There a few subtle differences in the processing that some of the social pages apply to these recordings.
I have included both Facebook and VK.

'The Lesser Threshold'
is my first album in design/production.
I am mostly at the demo stage with few plans to re-record,
I will introduce material until the album seems reasonable.
After I have enough material assembled,
I will name the next album and start to work under that title;
whatever it may be.

OK...I don't really use these colors, I used the 'Heat Map' effect in Google Picasa.
Anyhow, this is a snapshot of the Audacity project files, a few wave files and, one open project file.
Only a very small amount of the recording sessions were actually used to produce 'The Lesser Threshold'
